Need Your Help!
Happy Friday to all! One of the young adult skaters at my rink, who I’ve known since she was a little girl, wants to create a video series focused on Skating Skills tests. She’s asked if I’d be willing to collaborate with her on the series and provide some commentary from a judge’s perspective.
I cleared the idea with the chair of the judges committee, and they gave me permission to move forward with the project. Yay!
Our plan is to video every single element within the skating skills series (from Pre-Preliminary all the way to Gold/Senior). We haven’t decided what order to do these in or which element to film first.
So now I need your help:
- What element should we film first?
- What specific elements do you want the most advice, instruction, or feedback on?
- What questions have you always wanted to ask a skater who’s earned their Gold Skating Skills medal?
- What questions would you ask a test judge?
- Anything else?
