New Testing Record

I set a new personal record for testing. In the past 11 months, I’ve passed 7 ice dances – on the Standard Track! I completed all of the Preliminary Dances, Pre-Bronze Dances, and just passed the Hickory Hoedown (Bronze dance). The goal is to get through Bronze this year and start tackling Pre-Silver next year. Although, I am happy to just “camp out” at Pre-Silver for a while and take my time through those.

At some point, I hope to test my Adult Junior Skating Skills, but I’m not sure that I’ll be ready by the end of the year. Maybe once I get through this competition season, but we will see.

We just started working on the partnering for the Willow Waltz, and it felt pretty good after 1 lesson/1 attempt, so I am excited to see how strong this can get before we are ready to test it. The Ten Fox will have to wait a little bit longer… 🙂
