Dress Rehearsal
A few weeks ago, my new free skate dress finally arrived. My talented friend and skating Mei Mei designed it and also helped me pick out music for this season (so grateful for you, S!). I wanted to practice in my new costume and see how it felt on the ice, so I went to an afternoon freestyle session.
Much to my surprise, I was the only person in the rink besides the person working at the front desk! I had the ice all to myself for a glorious 30 minutes. I had forgotten that there was a competition at the time, so most of our competitive skaters were away.
I ran my program, and thankfully I did not die. I also worked on portions of my program to see how it felt with the dress on and with my hair slightly off center. Everything felt pretty good.
One more month until competition day!
