Pre-Bronze Dances: Done!
Last week, I filmed my final Pre-Bronze test, the Swing Dance. My coach and I needed a bit of time to figure out the partnering aspect since she tested these in the Follow part (therefore, she has to learn the Lead steps). After a few lessons, we figured it out, and it felt good enough to test.
A little under a week after submitting the test, I got word (while on an airplane, no less!) that I had passed my Swing Dance! Two of the judges gave me Honors! One judge event commented at the bottom of my test paper: “Nicely executed dance – keep up the good work!” That comment made my day!
So now I have officially passed all my Pre-Bronze dances! We started working on two of the Bronze dances (the Hickory Hoedown and the Willow Waltz). Hopefully we can get these learned and test by the end of the summer. At least that’s the goal!
I am traveling this week so don’t have my personal laptop with me. I hope this video is pasted correctly so you can see it!
If you are curious, my scores were +2, +4, and +6. Yay!
