Trio Shenanigans
In mid-December, our rink hosted our annual holiday show. My besties and I had an idea for our trio program but didn’t get a chance to start rehearsing on it until late November. In fact, we had a total of 3 rehearsals before we performed.
For those of you who know us in real life, you’ll know that we are known as the “Bock Squad” for our unhealthy obsession with chickens. And for the first time ever, we are performing as chickens! My pairs partner is the Swedish Chef, and the music is comprised of the “Popcorn Shrimpies” song from the Muppets plus the Chicken Dance.
While the other skaters in the holiday show had lyrical programs or ones that were holiday-themed, ours was way out there. It was supposed to be funny and designed to give the audience members a laugh.
We will perform this again tomorrow, when we compete at the New Years Invitational. Sadly, because the competition is so early this year, there aren’t that many teams in our event. We’ll still have fun though.
Enjoy!
