Crossfoot Spin
My jump coach and I were working on a very specific drill to help me transfer my weight correctly on the double salchow jump. It turns out that I don’t correctly transfer my weight and my landing leg stays on an inside edge during the air position. As a result, I land on a forward inside edge and am half a rotation short.
Coach had me working on a crossfoot spin so that I could feel that position in the air. I hadn’t attempted one of these in a long time. When I finally videoed one and sent it to my spin coach, she said that this spin would actually get called as a crossfoot spin in a competition! Wow – I did not expect that!
Looks like I need to keep working on this spin since it has multiple benefits.
Looking good, Eva! You are very talented!
