Skating Family
Last week, I was back in the Bay Area for work. Unfortunately, my San Francisco coach was unable to fit me in for a lesson, but I did manage to have some fun with my extended skating family. That is definitely one good thing about our sport – I can visit a new rink and make some (new) friends!
I’ve skated at this rink multiple times this year, and I’ve met some wonderful people who became friends. This is a photo of my good friend I, whom I met at Adult Nationals in 2015.
I also met another lovely skater (who is also a lefty like me!) named L. We’re both moms that skate, and she recently passed her Junior moves test, so she’s quite the inspiration for me.
Hope to be back in the Bay Area again soon so I can hang out with these fun peeps!
(PS – I am competing this weekend at my home rink. Send positive vibes!)
First reaction on seeing your top photo: Wait, I know that guy! 😀 I used to skate with I sometimes at Winter Lodge back when I lived in the Bay Area.
