Double Toe Loop Attempt

I was back in San Francisco for work last week and had the opportunity to work with Alysa Liu’s coach again. We worked on tweaking my single jumps and the spent some time in the harness for the double toe loop.

Surprisingly, it went pretty well. I almost landed a few off the harness but they were still under rotated. Here is one of those cheated jumps after I had my lesson.

I am determined to land this jump! One of the elite skaters in San Francisco (that I became friends with) saw me land an axel and told me, “Now you need to add a double toe onto the end!” Her comment made my day, and I believe that I can do it at some point. 😃

Was this Jeremy Abbott? If so, woot! I’m glad you got the encouraging comment, too. Kudos for scheduling amazing life experiences into your business trip!

No – I got to work with Phillip DiGuglielmo, who was Alysa’s pole harness coach. He worked with her after she left Laura.

So exciting to see you working on this! Can’t wait to see it in combination with your more aggressive axel.
