Working on Camel Spins
Ever since returning to the ice, my ankle has been hurting. I guess wearing flip flops for 30 straight days did nothing for my arch support. I’ve been slowly trying to break back into my boots, and it’s been a painful process.
However, my spinning ankle hasn’t been affected, so I have been able to work on my camel spins. I was able to successfully execute a few change of edge attempts (not very well) so here is one of those. If I am lucky and have a kind technical specialist, I might earn a level 2 camel spin for this.
Enjoy!
Nice catch foot spin, Eva! I like the speed!

Thanks, Jo! I hope this spin continues to improve!
A month of flip-flops–I could not do that. I love how skating strengthens the feet and ankles. It’s not listed among cures for plantar fasciitis, but it should be. I’ve been away from the ice lately, and when I tried another balance activity (stand-up paddle boarding), my feet tired first.
There is a lot going on in that spin! I wish my viewing skills and spin knowledge were higher so I could admire it better. Have a great weekend!

Stand up paddle boarding is HARD! I tried it in Hawaii and kept falling off the board!
Hope you have a great weekend, too!
