Novice Moves in the Field – Forward Loops

Since the adult competition season is over, I have been focusing a lot of my attention to Novice Moves. There are a few elements that are giving me some grief:

  • Serpentine sequence. (consisting of inside 3-turns and quick rocker chocktaws)
  • Forward loops
  • Backward twizzles

The other elements – the slow rocker chocktaws and the counters – are passable right now. I was able to record myself doing the forward twizzles and am proud that 1) I didn’t die, and 2) they didn’t look dreadful.

I shared this video with a Gold judge friend of mine, and she said that the ones on this video were “easily passing.” WOW!

I’m going to keep working on these moves with the hope that I can get them test-ready within the next year or so.

Looking (looping) good, Eva! I like how even your edges are!

Totally agree – I hold my breath on those and hope I don’t die!
