Windmill Spin Feature

About 2 weeks ago, my spin coach thought it would be worthwhile for me to learn a new feature. I have been struggling with my camel spin features in my program and we wanted to build in some more options in case the original spin was too inconsistent.

She taught me how to do a windmill feature. While I typically do the illusion entry into a sit spin, that particular difficult entry is not going to count after this season.

Skaters need a minimum of 3 windmills in a row for it to count in the IJS system. My first windmill isn’t quite there yet, but I am hoping it will after some more practice. Regardless, it’s not too bad considering that I’ve practiced less than 20 of these since my initial lesson!

Almost there, Eva! I like your speed and positions on this one. Good thing you’re so flexible!

I’m going to keep working on this – maybe one day it will be good enough to include in a program!
