Butterfly Spin Entry FAIL

Two weeks ago, I had a lesson to learn the butterfly spin entry. It requires a LOT of strength and utilizes the whole body. In fact, if one fails to engage any part of the core, the entrance will not work.

We had just finished working on the basics at the board and my lesson was over. Just for fun, I attempted to try the butterfly away from the wall.

Well, let’s just say that it didn’t go very well. My splat was so dramatic that a skater asked if I was OK (you will see her skate by me while I am recovering from the fall).

Things can only get better from here, right?

Oh, ouch! I’m glad you included the part after the fall to show you were okay! It’s hard to learn any of these moves without taking a tumble!

The first attempt was super scary but the ones after that weren’t as bad – thankfully!
