My favorite spin!

My favorite spin is a sit spin. I’m able to get nice and low and have built up the flexibility to do many variations (other than a broken leg, which I still can’t do very well).

For the past few seasons, I’ve had a level 3 sit spin in my program. There have been a few instances where my illusion entry has not been clear enough (so that the level dropped to a Level 2 spin). However, this is still my favorite spin.

My coach and I designed this as a Level 4 spin:

• Illusion entry (Level 1)
• Sit to the front / cannonball position (Level 2)
• Sit to the back / back tuck position (Level 3)
• Change to back sit position (Level 4 – this is an adult-only feature, but I am capped at Level 3 spins at the Adult Gold level)

Knowing that the illusion entry would be eliminated next season, I should hopefully still get a level 3 called for this spin. I’ll likely keep the difficult entry since it gives me a ton of speed – and hopefully positive grades of execution.
