My quest for the elusive double salchow continues. For the past few months, I felt like I have regressed on this element. I continued to land the jump forward and 3-turn out of it. It was incredibly frustrating.
However, after a recent lesson, something clicked. I’m not quite sure what went on in my head, but I was able to tighten up my rotating position and not open up as early on the landing.
Yes, I know that I didn’t successfully land this. But, it’s the closest I have been to a clean jump since July 2019. I feel like I am finally making some progress again. Hopefully I will land a clean one soon!
PS. My jump coach said that this jump was technically clean. WHOO HOO!
