Double Salchow Update
Sadly, I feel like this jump is regressing. My coach and I have done just about every exercise in the book and up his sleeve. I can do all the exercises with no problem. But then when it comes time to do the actual jump, everything goes out the window and I revert back to old (bad) habits. It’s so incredibly frustrating.
I’ve been working on this jump for 2.5 years and have landed it a handful of times (cleanly). Maybe it’s time to move on to something else, but I am still too stubborn to give it up!
My takeoff has improved, and I have plenty of air time. My body doesn’t want to stay tight in the rotation position and my ankles don’t like to cross. Other than that, things are great (sarcasm).

Eva, you are a trooper. I would guess that if you keep working on this jump but also work on others, the entire set will improve. Or at very least, you won’t feel “stuck” on the one. It seems so close from the video!

Sometimes I wish I skated (competitively) as a child. Then at least my fear of these jumps wouldn’t be as much as they are as an adult!
