Inline Skates
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. Those are indeed inline wheels on my old skating boots. During the stay-at-home orders from March through June, I was unable to skate at all. Several of my friends had inline skates so they got together to skate in a parking garage. I tagged along and worked on off-ice jumping and spinning.
As I mentioned in last week’s post, I bought new boots and inline frames for a really good price through a vendor in Italy. My skate tech was finally able to help me mount these last night. I’m excited, yet terrified, to try these out this weekend.
Don’t worry, I bought myself some elbow and knee pads and also have a bike helmet. Concrete/pavement is much less forgiving than ice, so I got all of the protective gear I could to protect myself. Since I am still not skating as much these days, I figured that I could inline skate during the days I am at home.
Wish me luck!
Your bravery is inspiring, Eva! Concrete is rough, too! You’ll have to post a picture of you on wheels.

I will – it might take me a while to muster up some courage to try out the inlines though!!
