Double Toe Loop Progress
I’m still having trouble rotating my attempts at double salchow and double toe loop. My body just freaks out mid-jump and opens up for the landing.
Although I keep telling myself to SQUEEZE, my body does the complete opposite. I’ve been trying to stay in as long as I can and think I’ve made a little bit of progress:
What I’ve noticed about this attempt is that the takeoff is getting better and that I’m actually crossing my legs (hooray!). Previously, I’d land on my left foot and immediately touch down with my right foot crossed on top. It was a bad habit that I’m starting to break. In this attempt, I’m actually landing on one foot, even if I’m still short on rotation.
Regardless, I’m still happy that I’m making a little bit of progress on this jump. Little by little, I hope to make the minor adjustments needed so that I can land a clean one this year!
